[ Tavros is not feeling festive or interested in capturing beasts. he has not felt like this for several days. and after spending these several days by himself, thinking Deep Thoughts, he has finally emerged to speak on the communicator regarding them, opting for video despite how much harder actually talking is versus typing. he just gives the camera a long look, fumbling for words, before speaking. ]

Uhh, so, there's a matter which has, I guess, come to my attention, recently, and I was thinking about it a lot, and wondering some things, that I couldn't really figure out an answer to, so, I guess what I was wondering is if anyone that's, uhh, here, could maybe help me with the figuring out, that I mentioned, regarding this topic. ...which is that I was wondering about... uh. Individuals who, previously, as in, before they got here, to Johto, when they were at the place they originated from, that were in a state of being, uhh. Not. Alive, anymore.

[ a pause, frowning thoughtfully. ]

It's probably sort of obvious that they're not in that state of un-alive, like I said, now, but, I was wondering if maybe they knew about it when they got here, or... uhh, well, I don't really know exactly, what I'm asking for, I just. It's kind of bothering me, I guess.

[ he starts to say something else but ultimately decides he's staggered through his sentences enough and fumbles uncomfortably with the 'gear before turning it off. ]

Oh, that does sound like it could possibly be a good sign, I guess. But I don't know if that kind of good news can, uhh, be applicable in a way that's practical to individuals that are dead.

But we can still see them when we're asleep, at least. It's not really that bad.

...I don't actually know. You might be, but everyone got really spread out and we couldn't keep track of everyone any more. I only know about a couple of the others.

It's just that Karkat said something funny when I talked to him, uhh, when he first got here, and one time Vriska said something weird, too. So I was in a state of thinking that maybe it was a situation that also might apply to me, despite that I heard some things that were good, regarding myself, also from Karkat, too. It's pretty confusing.

KK's farther along in the timeline than I am. And we lost track of Vriska when I'm from. So... I really don't know.

I hope I don't have to ask them, if I can be honest, uhh, about it...

You don't have to ask them, it's your choice. If you're here instead of there it doesn't even matter, anyway.

That's your choice too. It's kind of dumb to worry about it if you can't do anything about it though.

But there's nothing that can be done, since when we go back we don't remember anything from here.

So, yes, I recall this being a thing that was said is an effect that takes place upon departure from Johto, so, my theory is that, what I will do is just, not go back, maybe.

That works. That's sort of what I'm hoping for, too. Being blind really isn't that bad, but I don't really want to go back and have anything else weird happen.

Yeah, I think that probably the part where you're blind is a weird enough thing to have occur.

Well, for what it's worth, which is probably not a lot, but I'm going to say it anyway, uhh, I think you're doing pretty well at the adapting thing.

Yeah, maybe. I don't know yet. I'm still hoping TZ will come back and teach me how to smell colors.

Smelling colors would be a useful skill for having, yes, even for individuals who can see. But, uhh, there has been a lot of coming and going of trolls in, and I guess also out of, Johto lately, from what I've noticed, so, maybe Terezi will also be one of those who is coming back in, eventually.

She should come back, eventually, yeah. I just hope it's sooner rather than later, and that she'll actually end up in the right place this time, so she can teach me and help me terrorize people.

Those are some priorities that you have arranged to be doing, it sounds like, I guess...

Well, uhh, I could say yes, to be agreeable, but it would probably be in a way that could be considered untruthful, partly.

You're no fun. If you were blind you'd like drubbing people, too.

Oh no, if I were blind that would be the worst possible thing, maybe, aside from other things that I guess would be potentially more terrible than that, but still pretty much awful.
