♉8 - video

[ the gear records a warmly lit room at the Goldenrod inn. it's a bit dim, just a rich buttery light coming from a lone lamp by the bed, but the viewer will have no trouble making out the picture. Tavros has just wheeled across the room in his chair and opened the window, making the curtains flutter in the chilly breeze. he doesn't seem to mind, though, and after looking outside for a long time he smiles and siiiii~ghs, then turns and reaches for the pokegear.

instead of pointing it at himself, he points it out the window ("Look!"), up at the sky. so many stars! millions and millions of bright stars on a beautiful black sky. from behind the camera, Tavros giggles quietly. ]

Which star do you think is the second one, uhh, to the right? The one that goes straight on 'till morning? It's sort of hard to tell. There's so many.

[ after a long moment Tavros sets the gear down next to him on the window sill and puts his chin in his hand, staring almost... longingly out at the night sky. ]

I heard that this "Christmas" holiday that humans have for celebrating involves receiving a visit from an individual that can make wishes happen, and I was sort of wondering if that's true. Because I have a wish that I've been wishing for very, very hard and I think now is as good a time as any for the granting of it to take place! Since, uhh, there is a particular occasion for it, that is. Maybe just, uhh... if the Claws-human could just send Pupa Pan to do the wish-giving for him instead, that would be okay with me. That would be really nice.

[ he cups his chin in both hands and smiles to himself. ]

That would be the nicest thing ever.

Yes, I know, and I have seen them all, all of the versions! I guess it's possible that there is just, uhh, maybe a human alternative? Which is pretty neat, actually, because then humans don't have to miss out on the spectacular adventures.

Maybe... Urk, what a weird thing to have a difference on. Why can't other worlds make more sense...

Well, really, uhh, I was thinking that it's not so weird, since, it's pretty much like that for... basically everything.

Is it? I mean, I know you have really long names for some things, but that's just kinda weirder than usual.

[identity profile] bullieve.livejournal.com 2011-12-22 11:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, they are different names for, uhh, what is mostly sometimes the same thing, generally, so, I guess that just it being adapted in a human way isn't that different from, uhh, well, other things, such as what we call an ablution trap and you call a bath tub. Because they're the same.

Man, I don't think I'll ever get the hang of this stuff. It's so confusing. I mean, an... ablution trap?

[identity profile] bullieve.livejournal.com 2011-12-23 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, a trap for engaging in ablutions. ...uhh, I mean, you know... showers?

Ablutions... yeah, I seriously don't think I'll ever get this vocabulary.

I guess it's not really a thing you would need to learn about, considering that we are all humans here and the most common thing that is for using is, uhh, their vernacular, instead. But, sometimes it's kind of confusing for me even though I mostly try to figure it out.
