It was mostly because I watched the battle that you did and sort of, uhh, gathered some data after that to use for my own attempt, which... I guess proved pretty useful after all.

Well, for me, no, because mostly what I just did was say words in my Pokemon's head, and they did those things that I told them to do. I think they're, uhh, pretty tired now, though.

Well there was sort of a reason for it, even though it was kind of, uh, an unnecessary one, maybe? I don't know, but, working together about things is definitely better than not.

Mmmhm. Seven more in these region and then eight more on top of that over in Kanto. You don't have to get all of them, but some of them make travel a lot easier. Like the one from Violet allows you to fly once you get the proper HM from the Cianwood gym leader. Also provided you have a flying type to ride on.

Well if the rest of the Johto gym leaders are as big of pushovers as this losery wimp, I'd hope Kanto has something better to offer. Double battles would be spectacular, though I'd have to find someone who can keep up with me.

Yeah, if you have those three things: Violet badge, a flying type, and HM02. I mean you won't be physically able to fly but whatever, technicalities.
